Shanghai Technical Transfer Exchange

  Shanghai Technical Transfer Exchange (STTE)£¬set up jointly by Ministry of Science & Technology of China and Shanghai People¡¯s Municipal Government£¬is the first state-level permanent technomart in China. Its mission is to promote technology transfer transaction and hi-tech products trade among different regions, business sectors and organizations both at home and abroad, and to provide services and conveniences for accelerating industrialization and commercialization of scientific achievements.

Since its inception on December 30, 1993, STTE has been playing a very active and positive role in science & technology innovation system in Shanghai and the whole country.

Based on a membership system, so far STTE has recruited more than one hundred members in tens of cities all over the China and has accordingly constructed a wide technology transfer network. The current technology bank of STTE holds information about approximately ten thousand projects creating an effective and easily accessible platform for enterprises and investors. More importantly, in order to facilitate technology transfer and industrialization of scientific achievements, STTE provides an integrated services including technical problem bidding, technical problem solving, project consulting, feasibility study, market survey, and so on. STTE will also further its efforts to explore the best approach to link technology market and capital market so as to pave the way for a successful marketing of scientific achievements.

Conforming to the trend of economic globalization, STTE will be actively involved in both theoretical research and practical activities about international technology transfer. STTE is establishing communication with technology transfer-related organizations outside China to cooperate with them in such targeted fields as technology-based business-matching, consultation and market survey in a win-win context so as to meet opportunities and challenges posed by China¡¯s entry of WTO and to contribute its share to the advance of science & technology development of Shanghai and even the whole China.

With a great efforts on the development of its website (www.stte.sh.cn), STTE will strengthen its function of collecting and disseminating information to provide modernized approaches for domestic and international technology transfer.
