Shanghai Technical Transfer Exchange (STTE)，set up jointly by Ministry of Science & Technology of China and Shanghai People’s Municipal Government，is the first state-level permanent technomart in China. Its mission is to promote technology transfer transaction and hi-tech products trade among different regions, business sectors and organizations both at home and abroad, and to provide services and conveniences for accelerating industrialization and commercialization of scientific achievements.

Since its inception on December 30, 1993, STTE has been playing a very active and positive role in science & technology innovation system in Shanghai and the whole country.

Based on a membership system, so far STTE has recruited more than one hundred members in tens of cities all over the China and has accordingly constructed a wide technology transfer network.
